Pete Edochie, a seasoned Nollywood actor, has joined in the mourning of their colleague Junior Pope's untimely passing.

The veteran urged Nigerians to stop posting meaningless things on social media about the late actor's death so that he could rest peacefully. This plea was made in a video posted on his Instagram page.

Pete Edochie mentioned that while everyone will eventually pass away, Junior Pope's death was unfortunate and unexpected.

The well-known actor referred to the deceased as a gift to humanity and asked Nigerians to pray for the acceptance of the actor's soul by God and to refrain from the social media drama that followed his death.

Pete Edochie also commended well-known businessman E-Money for taking on the responsibility of caring for Junior Pope's children.

He said, "My son Junior Pope was a gift to the world, not just Nigerians. His remarkable life was cut short in a way we never saw coming. We will all pass one day, but not in this manner.

"I appeal to everyone to pray to God to accept Junior Pope's soul and to stop all the unnecessary social media chatter. Let's allow this young man's soul to rest. I am appealing as a father.

"I also want to take this opportunity to thank all those who have volunteered to ensure that his children do not suffer, especially E-Money, who has promised to support and educate the boys to any level they desire.
