Filmmaker Jade Osiberu is of the view that corruption has become a part of our culture.

To prove her point, Osiberu highlighted instances of corruption among employees who try to rip off their employers.

She raised concern over the numerous loss companies experience as a result of corruption by their staff.

She tweeted: “Corruption is such a part of our culture now, almost every company has an employee trying to rip them off.

“Cinema staff says pay into an account, POS is down. He doesn’t know I’ll contact the owner of the cinema and I’ll send them proof of payment to his personal account.

“Hospital pharmacist says they don’t have they medication & he doesn’t want to write the prescription, insisting that he can’t trust the efficacy of one I’ll get from even the biggest pharmacies. So his sends his account details cos only he has access to the ‘original’ antibiotics.

“I can’t imagine how much companies are losing annually to employees running their own hustle and worse still, how many lives might be put in danger depending on what that ‘hustle’ is.”

Osiberu is known for movies such as Isoken (2017), Sugar Rush (2019), Brotherhood (2022) and Gangs of Lagos.
