Singer Tiwa Savage has questioned the decision of the government to keep Nigeria's borders open in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

Nigeria confirmed a third case of coronavirus in Lagos after a Nigerian female, about 30 years of age, returned from the United Kingdom on March 13th, 2020.

The lady who is currently being attended to at the Mainland General Hospital is said to have developed symptoms of the virus after observing self-isolation

Joining the voices calling on the Federal Government to close the country's borders, Tiwa Savage shared on Instastories:

“Why are we not closing our borders before it gets too worse”.

“I understand we can’t stop citizens from returning but we can test and possibly isolate for 14 days instead of running the risk of letting it spread in the community”.
