Rapper Cassper Nyovest has said that many South African musicians will go hungry if the lockdown in the country due to coronavirus persists for three months.

The rapper stated this in response to a Twitter user who said many of the country's musicians are busy playing video games instead of rendering help in this period.

Cassper Nyovest stated that it is their desire to help people during this coronavirus period but they don't have such money.

According to him, if the people had supported them like they did to Rihanna and Drake, South African musicians would have been rich enough to perform such duties.

He wrote: "We don't have Rihanna money. Truth is, we don't even know what we gone eat if the lockdown goes down for more than 3 months. Maybe if we were supported and stanned like yall stan Drake and Rihanna we would have the money to help. It's not that we don't want to, we don't have".
