Coronavirus: Lai Mohammed reveals when Buhari will address the nation

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has said that the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (redt.), will address the nation concerning coronavirus when the time is right.

With 12 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Nigeria, many Nigerians have called on the president to address the nation so as to allay fears of the people.

However, Lai Mohammed stated that all the information Nigerians need to know about the virus has already been made available to them and that when the time is right Buhari will address the nation.

He said: “When it is appropriate, Mr President will address the nation. But, I think what you want to hear from Mr President are the kind of things we are telling you.

“This is not to preempt or second guess Mr President, I think he will do the needful.”
