Comedian Ekene Egbuna, popularly known as Kintoncod, has been criticised for taking to social media to demand a seaport in Igboland.
In a post on X, Klintoncod wondered why Nigerians dislike Igbos but still won't allow them to have their own country.
He also criticised an alleged move to prevent the South-east region occupied by the Igbos from having its own seaport.
"Igbos this, Igbos that, let the people go, una no gree, give them a fair portion of leadership in our “one Nigeria”, una still no gree, let them have a port in their region so they can stay in their zone, una no gree, what do you want from the Igbos for Christ sake," he said.
However, the comedian was reminded that everything he demanded could be provided by the leaders of his ethnicity, except a seaport because the Southeast is not a coastal region.
@funshographix said, "Let the ibo go: Nobody is stopping ibo not to go. Give them portion of leadership: that's your Governors. Local Chairmen. Representatives & Senates' jobs. Give ibo port: where is the sea in ibo land to have a sea port?"
@_patrioticCFC said, "No national leader is stopping Igbos from building a port in your region. It's your governors and senators that don't think you're sensible enough to own one. They're right, anyway."
@DelegsT said, "@klintoncod sometimes it's best to keep quiet when you are not well informed about how things work. Firstly ,Eastern region is landlocked and aside that are you aware that there is two working seaports in south south which is closer to the east."
@adelalu said, "Igbo region = SE. SE landlocked. Don't you understand?"
@OmayeSirhb said, "Igbos are the richest pipo in the world... They have uncountable trillionaires..... At least one amongst these richest men or joint partners can build a PORT in the land... Abi una rich pipo dey fear or shame to develop una land?"
