Comedian Bovi has reacted to report that he got a Visa at the US Embassy while Bishop Oyedepo of Faith Tabernacle was denied one on the same day.

A national daily had reported that a mild drama occurred at the embassy after Bishop Oyedepo was denied Visa. Another report stated that the clergyman had to make some phone calls before the issue was settled.

According to the national daily, Bovi who was at the embassy that same day got lucky as he got a Visa while his wife was denied.

Reacting to the report, the comedian tweeted:

"I was not at the embassy. Neither was my wife. Story about us is entirely false. And the use of the word “luck” or “lucky” with getting a visa is annoying".

MyNigeria reported that the US Embassy also issued a statement declaring the report as false news.

A tweet on their official Twitter account reads: "#FalseNews Alert! Be advised, the reports making the rounds about a visa being denied to Nigerian Bishop Oyedepo are false. If you have seen this manufactured item in the media, help defeat this #misinformation by communicating to everyone that it is completely false".
