Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has stated that marrying a woman from the Igbo tribe is not easy.

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, Davido tied the knot with his wife, Chioma in a lavish wedding ceremony.

Chioma Rowland is an Igbo lady from Imo State.

The singer shared his sentiment during Ubi Franklin’s Instagram live session, following the wedding.

He expressed, “E no easy. E no easy to marry Igbo woman. Igbo woman, e no easy,” he said.

During the wedding ceremony, Davido was filled with joy and excitement, assuring Chioma’s parents that he will protect and respect their daughter.

Davido had previously promised Chioma a lifetime of assurance in his hit song “Assurance”.

The couple recently welcomed twins a year after the loss of their first son.

The wedding was attended by several distinguished personalities including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the president’s son, Seyi Tinubu, among others.
