Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, who is of Mozambican and Nigerian descent, has announced that she will compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.

She had previously withdrawn from the Miss South Africa 2024 competition due to concerns over her nationality.

After finishing in the top 11 of the Miss South Africa competition, she received an invitation to the Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.

Following allegations from the South African Department of Home Affairs that her mother may have engaged in fraud and identity theft, she withdrew from the competition.

However, in a recent video that has surfaced, Adetshina said that she had accepted the invitation from the Universe Nigeria.

She saidd, “I have decided to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 beauty pageant… I am looking forward to participating in Africa’s most prestigious beauty pageant – Miss Universe Nigeria,” she said.
