Nigerian singer David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido released his fourth studio album dubbed "Timeless" on March 31.
The release of the album comes after his break from the public space late last year following the tragic death of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
He, however, returned after nearly six months - making an appearance at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony.
Since he started making music 11 years ago, Davido has released four studio albums, the latest of which is the 17-track "Timeless" album.
The singer said that the title is an expression of his desire for the album to be remembered as a classic for many years.
In a recent interview with CNN's Larry Madowo in Lagos, Nigeria, Davido said: "I know in years to come, if you interview me, we are still going to be talking about this record.
The album features artists like British Nigerian rapper Skepta, Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Angélique Kidjo, Jamaican performer Dexta Daps, fast-rising singer Asake, Fave and a host of others.
According to Davido, despite finishing the album late last year, he had to re-do the album to reflect the times.
Davido rose to fame after releasing "Dami Duro", the second single from his debut studio album "Omo Baba Olowo" which was released in 2012.
He released his second studio album "A Good Time" in November 2019 and it was supported by the previously released singles "If", "Fall", "Assurance", "Blow My Mind" and "Risky".
Following the success of the album, Davido was cited as one of the Top 100 most influential Africans by New African magazine in 2019.
His third studio album "A Better Time" was released on November 13, 2020 and in February 2021, he appeared on Time magazine's 'Time 100 Next List'.
Today, March 31, the Afrobeats singer has again released his fourth studio album which is titled "Timeless".
