Wizkid and Don Jazzy

Several celebrities have criticized Wizkid for his recent social media outburst involving music executive Don Jazzy.

On Monday, April 29, 2024, Wizkid went on a tirade on social media, mocking his colleagues and critics.

His posts did not sit well with many who took to their respective platforms to call out the singer.

Mr. Macaroni, displeased by Wizkid's actions, described Don Jazzy as a legend with influence in music, content, films, and brands.

According to him, the way Wizkid called him “an influencer” was disrespectful to “everything he has done and is still doing for the Nigerian Music Industry.”

Mr Macaroni wrote: “Don Jazzy is perhaps the biggest Entertainment Influencer in Africa. And the beautiful thing is that his influence cuts across. From music to content, films, brands etc.

“However, we would all be hypocrites to say that the context in which he was called an influencer isn’t disrespectful to everything he has done and is still doing for the Nigerian Music Industry.

“An absolute legend. He promotes Music artists even outside his record label. Gives free advice and visibility to up-and-coming artists, and shows love to everyone irrespective of their status. I am also a beneficiary of his phenomenal influence! Don Baba J!!!! Your Influence Choke!!.”

Doyin and Tacha also chimed in on the ongoing online drama, calling out Wizkid for disrespecting Don Jazzy.

They argued that Wizkid was seeking attention and should focus on releasing music.

Doyin said; “Don Jazzy is still the JayZ of the Nigerian music industry. If you try to disrespect him, it just shows your head is not correct. No be to dey chase clout, drop hit!”

Tacha also warned Wizkid stating that any slander or disrespect towards Don Jazzy would not be tolerated.

Tacha said: “No Don Jazzy slander will be tolerated. Don Jazzy’s impact on the entertainment industry can never be overemphasised.

“If you have to take off Don Jazzy’s inputs on the industry, that would be you taking half of Afrobeats away. Because who would you be listening to? Don Jazzy has grown a lot of global superstars.

“This is somebody that doesn’t restrict himself to the music industry alone. Don Jazzy is there for everybody regardless of their status.”
