Celebrating actress, Patience Ozokwo with 5 of her biggest movies

Today marks the 62nd birthday of veteran Nigerian actress, Patience Ozokwo. An internationally recognised personality, Mrs. Ozokwo was born on this day in 1958.

Affectionally called Mama G by industry mates, the actress began her career in the early 1990s, performing in small theatre plays. Her big break came in 1998 after she featured in a radio drama.

Aside from her success in the movie industry, she has also achieved a significant amount of success as a fashion designer and gospel singer.

She won the Best Supporting Actress 2012 & 2013 award at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards (AFRIMA). She was also a known newscaster and radio presenter whose voice became one of the most recognisable in the industry.

Mrs. Ozokwo is blessed with 4 biological children, 5 adopted children and 16 grandchildren.

In a post on Instagram to celebrate her day, she actress said that she is grateful to God for how far He has brought her.
