Nollywood actress Caroline Hutchins Danjuma recently voiced her concern about the severe economic difficulties Nigerians are facing.

She shared her experience on Instagram, describing her shock at the skyrocketing prices of food items after a visit to the Sunday market in Ogba, Lagos State.

Caroline highlighted that the cost of basic groceries has surged drastically: a tuber of yam is now priced at N10,000, a small bucket of potatoes at N9,000, a bag of rice at N85,000, and two pieces of Titus fish at N5,000.

She expressed her dismay and worry about how Nigerians are managing these inflated prices, noting that she ended up buying food for her domestic staff because she was so distressed by the market conditions.

In her post, Caroline reflected on how she used to visit the market with her grandmother and felt nostalgic. She admitted she wasn't focused on negotiating prices due to her sadness about the overall economic situation.

She suggested that Nigerians might benefit from mental and emotional support sessions and offered to help start such initiatives.

She ended her message with encouragement, hoping that things would improve soon and offering comfort to her followers.
