CKay ignores 'old cats', hails Tekno, Runtown for paving way for afrobeats songs internationally

Nigerian singer Chukwuka Ekweani, popularly known as CKay, has expressed his gratitude to his colleagues Tekno and Runtown for paving the way for him.

According to him, these two singers contributed to his global success of afrobeat songs.

Sharing his thoughts on his Twitter page on Friday, June 16, he noted that someday in the future, Tekno and Runtownwill will be discussed for their afrobeat success in the country.

He wrote:

“One day, we’re going to sit down and talk about how Tekno and Runtown’s music paved the way for songs like Love Nwantiti, Emiliana, Ku Lo Sa & Calm Down.”
