Released two months ago, it has garnered thirty-five million views on Youtube and has become of the most sought-after by music lovers.

The climb in the US, a niche market for afrobeats indicates the growing acceptance of the genre.

The Grammy award-winning singer in an interview with Wallo267 and Gillie Da King spoke on how it was his idea to sample Toni’s 2000 hit track “Not man enough” sound in his song. He said it was something he had always wanted to do.

He later revealed that the singer is taking 60 percent of the royalties of the song.

The hit single is the 7th track in the 19-track “Love, Damini” album that was released on July 8.

Burna Boy like Davido and Wizkid are at the forefront of projecting afrobeats to a global audience.
