Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has expressed his concerns about the blocking of the Lagos Ibadan road by university students protesting the never-ending strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

Some students on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, blocked the Sagamu Interchange section of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, demanding an end to ASUU's seven months strike.

They took the drastic action due to the FG's inability to resolve the problem with the academic union.

The development left a lot of motorists stranded has generated reactions from Nigerians.

Reacting, Yul, advised the students to rather take their grievances to the National Assembly and Aso Rock, and free the roads for motorist or commuters.

“Dear students, it’s good to see you’re expressing your displeasure over the ASUU strike. However, this move doesn’t make much sense.

“Citizens don’t have to suffer bcos of the govt’s failure to resolve the strike. If you want to block the road, block the national assembly, block Aso Rock,” he wrote.
