Bella Shmurda explores humanitarian side with Dagbana Republik

Reigning music star, Ahmed Abiola Akinbiyi aka Bella Shmurda, has decided to explore his humanitarian side with the plans revealed by his Dagbana Republik outfit.

The graduate of the Lagos State University, who has consistently expressed his fondness Okokomaiko area of Lagos state, revealed that he, alongside his Dagbana Republik, will be visiting the area to make contributions to the community and its environs in the spirit of humanitarianism.

“Yes, definitely. If you follow my career closely, there was a time I went to my hood in Okoko. I went to share food, and money with the vulnerable people living there,” he told The Nation.

This move is coming after Bella Shmurda announced the release of his second EP, ‘High Tension 2.0,’ today, Friday, July 9, 2021.

The young singer further noted that although he has always reached out to society, he intends to incorporate his Dagbana Republik as the face behind the outreach programme.

“Now, as ‘Dagbana Republik’ we are having a plan to drill boreholes in my area, Okoko Iyana-Iba, Lasu, we are planning to do a borehole for everyone for a healthy water supply. So, I think we are moving ahead.”

On why he has decided to saddle Dangbana Republik with the obligation of reaching out to the needy and vulnerable in the Okokomaiko area and its environs, he said, “Dagbana Republik is a brand which I’m planning to diversify in terms of making free clothes for people in public schools, especially from where I come from – Okokomaiko. We would sew clothes for everybody. I think I can afford it. ‘Dagbana Republik’ is ready to help in any way. We put out the music, you know, to motivate people and that’s the plan. Dagbana Republik is not just a record label, It is incorporation. There is more to it.”
