Mohbad's burial

The passing of popular Nigerian artiste Mohbad appears to have caused problems for his young baby mama, Omowunmi.

Recall that on September 12, 2023, Mohbad, who was only 27 years old, passed away. A few hours later, videos of the funeral arrangements for him circulated online.

One of these footages, which was shot in the late singer's birthplace of Ikorodu, showed the grave being excavated as a group of guys gathered to the side to talk.

One of the older males present made a point of saying that men shouldn't rely solely on their spouses because some men make millions but don't bring it home.

He said: “What has happened has happened, but there’s a lesson in this for everybody, all of you standing here need to focus, don’t put your trust in your wives! Listen, we have seen children who die at birth and children who make millions and don’t take it home.”

Other bystanders who were present at the burial site kept criticizing the singer's grave's position while claiming that Mohbad used to purchase mansions and other assets worth millions of dollars.

In another scene from the viral video, one of the young men explained to the old man how Mohbad's baby mama should be forced to forfeit all of his assets.

The young man asserted that if she wants to avoid any trouble, she must take all of Mohbad's belongings with her and hand them to the family.

In Yoruba he said: “We are going to collect it from his wife, all of Mohbad’s properties, if she doesn’t want trouble. All of Mohbad’s assets with her, she has to drop them.”

Others were heard inquiring where she was and if she had made it to the graveyard yet. It was also overheard that someone advised against her going there at all.

Many Nigerians appeared to be disturbed by the footage of Mohbad's relatives attempting to seize his assets from his young baby mama, and many of them voiced their anger.
