Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North and former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is facing intense public criticism after a viral video showed him giving a foot massage to a woman aboard a private jet.
The clip, which surfaced on social media on Tuesday, captures the former Edo State governor seated comfortably in the luxury aircraft while attending to the woman’s feet in a relaxed, private moment.
The backlash comes on the heels of Oshiomhole’s recent controversial statement that “food is now too cheap in Nigeria,” remarks that had already drawn sharp criticism from citizens struggling with rising food prices, inflation, and economic hardship.
Nigerians quickly pointed out the disconnect between his elite lifestyle and the everyday realities of ordinary people.
The video ignited further reactions from social media critics, including Nigerian influencer and commentator Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
In response, VeryDarkMan condemned the display, saying the ruling class no longer cares about ordinary citizens.
“These people no longer hide it. Before, they did it behind our back; now they do it in our faces. How much is Adams Oshiomhole earning that he’s inside a private jet?” VDM stated.
“The essence of this video is to put sense in the heads of the youths. Adams Oshiomhole is seventy-something years, and he's stil enjoying the money they stole. All those our God punish this politician, doesn't work. We need to change our mentality because all our curses are not affecting them,” he added.
Online users shared similar sentiments, describing the video as tone-deaf and emblematic of a growing divide between Nigeria’s political leaders and the citizens they govern.
