Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha and his wife, celebrity stylist Luminee, have come under scrutiny after unveiling the Aso Ebi prices for their newborn son's naming ceremony.
The couple, who recently welcomed their first child together, announced that the event is scheduled to hold on August 27, 2026.
According to an invitation shared on their social media pages, the male Aso Ebi package is priced at **₦250,000**, while the female package costs **₦350,000**.
The announcement quickly sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians debating whether celebrity family celebrations have become overly extravagant.
Some social media users pointed out that the prices are similar to those earlier announced by Nollywood couple Lateef Adedimeji and Mo'Bimpe for their own baby's dedication ceremony.
Others, however, defended Baba Ijesha and Luminee, arguing that purchasing Aso Ebi is optional and that guests are free to attend without buying the fabric if they choose.
The naming ceremony comes just weeks after the couple celebrated the birth of their son, with Luminee expressing gratitude and describing her husband as "one in a million" while celebrating their new journey into parenthood.
As the debate continues online, opinions remain divided over the rising cost of celebrity event Aso Ebi and whether such prices are justified.
