BREAKING: Sanwo-Olu addresses Lagos unrest, promises improved security

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has addressed the pockets of insecurity going unchecked in the state.

In a statement by the Governor, he revealed that the pockets of violence and theft were as a result of exploitation by criminal elements.

Promising to deal hoodlums a vital blow, he assured residents that he would improve response time.

"On security, there have been reports of pockets of insecurity across different areas and intelligence has shown a combination of exploitation by criminal elements. The Police have been responsive but in the last 24 hours we have worked to increase surveillance and response time," Sanwo-Olu said.



Addressing the issue of welfare, the Governor revealed that the second half of the first phase has begun as well as the federal government's conditional cash transfer to augment the financial burden.

Thanking Lagosians for support, he told them this phase would soon be over. He also informed them that coronavirus is being subdued and put at bay.
