BBTitans: Austin Faani blasts organisers for starting reality show despite election

Austin Faani, the husband of Nollywood actress Chacha Eke has expressed concerns on why organisers of the Big Brother show chose to start the program just a month to elections.

The movie director believes that organisers of the program will one day be held accountable for choosing the time they chose and why they could not wait for the elections to end.

Austin took to his Instagram page and wrote: "Someday, not soon maybe, Ebuka and BBN will explain to Nigerians why they couldn’t wait for just a month as to not distract the Nigerian masses especially the southern Nigeria that engages more in their awesome show from the coming election. Just someday, there will be this dialogue, and I hope their reasons make sense and adds positive impact to what everyone in Nigeria is after at the moment. Get your PVC guys. I hear people say, vote wisely, vote with your conscience and all sorts. If you can’t use any of the above traits to vote, simply vote for Peter Obi and Datti Yusuf. Thumb print where you see a family picture."

Big Brother Naija is one of the most watched and talked about reality show in Nigeria and Africa.

The previous edition of the show ended in October 2022 and as Nigeria will be going to the polls on February 25, most people especially Nigerians saw it prudent for the show to start after the elections.

When the show announced the start date of the new edition, "Big Brother Titans" which is a fusion of Nigerians and South Africans to be aired from 15th January, 2023, people have raised concerns on why organisers couldn't wait for the elections to be over before the program will start.
