BBNaija housemates and netizens react to Rico Swavey’s death

Today, October 13, Big Brother Naija housemates and the entire Nigeria are grieving over the demise of a friend, son, and brother.

Patrick Fakoya, popularly known as Rico Swavey, of the Season 3 Big Brother reality fame gave up the ghost in the early hours of today after being on life support due to a fatal motor accident he was involved in on Tuesday, October 11.

Some Big Brother housemates and loved ones of the deceased have taken to social media to grieve with the family of Rico.

Groovy, a former housemate of the Season 7 edition took to his Twitter account to talk about the love Rico showed him while he was in the Big Brother house.

He wrote: “This is so unreal. ????????
This was just on Sunday at the winners party. My Team had told me Rico was around and I immediately went over to him to say thank you for all the support and love.???? We lost a Real one. God give your family strength to bare this loss???????? RIP RICO"

"Rip Rico Swavey ???????? My deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. Praying for everyone ????," Doyin, another season 7 housemate also wrote.

Chomzy, another housemate also shared in her condolences and wrote "Rico was the only celebrity that openly rooted for chomzy???????????????????? RIP RICO, its so sad to say goodbye ????????????"

The winner of the Level-Up edition, Phyna, also couldn't believe her ears and tweeted: "Rico Swavey ???? He was so supportive and even came to my winner's party. May God be with his family and friends ???????? ????"

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the BBNaija host of the show also penned down his emotions and wrote: The actual warmest human being. This is truly heartbreaking... Rest in Peace Rico ???????? ????"
