Former Big Brother Naija All-Stars housemate Pere Egbi has spoken up about some of the qualities that drew him to colleague Mercy Eke.

The 38-year-old claimed in an interview with SabiRadio that was posted on YouTube on Sunday, October 8 that he had seen Mercy's progress since she won the "Pepper Dem" season.

He said: “From the small knowledge that I had about Mercy from her previous season and what I saw my first two weeks being in the house with her was a woman who had grown, there was some growth. So that caught my attention.”

Recounting the moment he observed her reading a Bible at the just concluded BBNaija All-Stars edition, he continued that her religiosity attracted him.

He said: “One day I was going into the blue room to do something and I looked. On the bed was a Bible, a small Bible. I was like ‘Okay, who’s on this bed?’ It’s Mercy’s bed, the bed was empty, I went away. That night I took a peek in the blue room, there she was reading her Bible.”

Pere and Mercy were both finalists in the All-Stars edition.

Pere and Mercy Eke both made it to the finale and were alongside four other housemates; Adekunle, Ilebaye, Ceec and Cross.

Pere and Mercy Eke showed a number of private moments throughout the show.
