Afrobeats singer Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has made her first on-screen appearance in Hollywood, with a brief feature in a behind-the-scenes teaser for the upcoming fantasy film Children of Blood and Bone.

Director Gina Prince-Bythewood shared the teaser on Instagram, giving fans a sneak peek at the film’s making.

She also announced that the official trailer will be released on Tuesday.

“So excited to share a peek behind the scenes of our incredible journey to Orisha. CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE trailer drops TOMORROW! And in theatres Jan. 15!” Prince-Bythewood wrote.

Although Ayra Starr appears only briefly in the clip, it marks the Grammy-nominated singer’s first visual appearance in character ahead of her Hollywood acting debut.

The teaser is also soundtracked by Tems’ hit single “Me & U,” adding another Nigerian presence to the highly anticipated adaptation. NigerianEntertainment Coverage

The Paramount Pictures production is based on Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling fantasy novel Children of Blood and Bone.

The film is scheduled for theatrical release on January 15, 2027.

The star-studded cast includes Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lashana Lynch, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Tems, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr and Damson Idris.
