Ayra Starr makes Billboard ’21 Under 21?

Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has been included in this year’s 21 Under 21 ranking by American music magazine Billboard.

The 20-year-old was the only African artist on the 2023 list released on Monday via the Billboard website.

She made the chart by garnering 138.2 million on-demand streams in the US.

Youngsters such as Olivia Rodrigo, The Kid Laroi, D4vd, and Gayle all made the list.

Ayra Starr revealed in a recent interview that she had prayed she would make Obama’s playlist someday before her song ‘Rush’ appeared on the former US President’s 2022 end-of-year music playlist.
