Attacks as Kidwaya makes insentive comment on death of South African singer

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Terseer Kiddwaya who is popularly known as Kidwaya has come under heavy criticisms on social media for a comment he made regarding the death of Costa Titch, a South African Amapiano performer who died after collapsing on stage while performing.

On Saturday, March 11, 2023, the 27-year-old reportedly suffered a seizure and passed out while performing at the Ultra music extravaganza at Expo Centre in Nasrec, Johannesburg.

In response to the rapper's passing, Kiddwaya stated that drug consumption was to blame, claiming that many musicians utilize drugs to escape societal pressure.

He wrote: “COSTA!!! what happened was extremely sad and avoidable and we have to do more to protect the artists!!! A lot of these artistes are taking drugs to escape the world or to carry the expectations of the pressure.”

Social media users including media personality Do2dtun, criticized the reality TV star for having poor emotional intelligence.

Do2tun wrote: “Kiddwaya carried table and chair to analyze a situation you have no privy information about. You are not a doctor, you were not at the show neither do you even know this guy but you ‘ve assumed on what might have happened to him. Verdict: No emotional intelligence and ignorance. Verified yet unverified.”
