Nigerian musician Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan, popularly known as Fireboy DML, has shown his respect for colleague and record labelmate Ahmed Ololade, also known as Asake.

The singer praised Asake's abilities and energy, revealing that Asake used a tour van to record his verse for their 2022 hit song, "Bandana."

Fireboy DML explained in an interview with Ebro that their collaboration on the song stemmed from their long-standing relationship, which began during their time as undergraduates at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ife.

He stated, “Our record label boss, Olamide, suggested that I feature Asake on ‘Bandana.’ We sent him the song, and he recorded his part on his tour bus. It was a quick process, and the energy was incredible.

Asake is someone I've known for a long time. We attended the same university, and he has a very unique personality. He's a natural talent. We had a strong connection back in school, sharing similar struggles and journeys."
