'Arrest VDM too' – Nigerians react to report on Mr Ibu’s son and Jasmine’s continual detention in police custody

Some Nigerians on social media are calling for the incarceration of controversial social media critic Vincent Otse who is better known as Verydarkman.

This follows fresh reports that the adopted son and daughter of renowned actor Mr. Ibu are being detained by the authorities.

Actress Doris Ogala stated on November 23 that Jasmine and Ibu's sons were detained by Mr. Ibu's wife Stella Maris for embezzling N300 million from the actor's treatment fund.

Before this, Verydarkman had often taken to his social media account to refute the wife's claims that contributed funds had been misused in order to support Jasmine and Mr. Ibu's child.

In a recent video posted on Thursday, November 30, blogger Tosin Silverdam affirmed the veracity of the reports of Mr. Ibu's wife detaining Jasmine and others.

He emphasized that they were being held by the police at the moment and that the police had allegedly made a sizable profit after spending an excessive amount of money on personal needs.

After supporters were taken aback by Tosin's statement, Verydarkman came under fire for supporting Jasmine over Mr. Ibu's wife.

A few admirers even demanded that Verydarkman be sent into custody, claiming that he had planned to deceive the people with them.
