Comedian and actor Basketmouth has urged the public to practice greater gratitude, noting that waking up healthy and alive is a blessing many people do not have.
In a message shared on his Instagram story, the entertainer said people should not take life or health for granted.
He explained that setbacks such as missing a deadline, losing a job, failing to get a promotion, or car trouble become secondary as long as one is alive and healthy.
Basketmouth stressed that the ability to use every part of the body without pain or difficulty is a gift.
He added that people often fail to appreciate what they have until it is gone, using the example of boils on both buttocks to illustrate how sitting can become a luxury when health is compromised.
Basketmouth wrote: “We all need to do a better job of showing gratitude to God. Waking up in the morning, healthy and alive, is a blessing that many people don’t have.
“So what if you miss a deadline? So, what if you don’t get that promotion? Lose your job? Or your car breaks down? If you’re alive and healthy, you still have something priceless.
“Don’t take anything for granted. Being able to use every part of your body without pain or difficulty is a gift. We often don’t appreciate what we have until it’s gone.
“Have you ever had boils on both ass cheeks before? That’s when you truly discover the value of a buttocks. Suddenly, sitting becomes a luxury and functioning buttocks becomes a blessing”.
