Another Nollywood actor Chikezie Uwazie is dead

The Nigerian movie industry has witnessed another loss after Nollywood actor Chikezie Uwazie reportedly passed away in the United States of America.

The tragic event was confirmed by the late actor’s colleague, Obey Etok Chima on late Sunday, May 14, on her Instagram page.

Chima disclosed that Uwazie passed away in the USA following a second brain operation.

According to reports, the deceased traveled to the US from Nigeria seven years ago in pursuit of "greener pastures."

She wrote: “I can’t imagine am posting this. Chikezie Uwazie goneeeee. After a 2nd brain surgery. Gini na emezi. Am so shocked to get this news this evening. I just got this from our IMSU alumni platform. I thought you told me you were going to the States for greener pastures. You promised to come back some years back, but I didn’t see you. I can’t believe you are gone, but God knows best. Rest on Chyko”.

The news of Uwazie's passing comes as the Nollywood industry and the entire Nigeria are grieving over the passing of some well-known actors who passed away over the weekend.

Over the weekend, Nollywood actors like Saint Obi, Adedigba Mukail, Tech Sound and Murphy Afolabi passed away within a few hours of one another.
