American YouTuber and online broadcaster Kai Cenat has been making waves on social media and winning over his Nigerian fans since his arrival in the country.

On Saturday, March 9, 2024, Cenat and his brother Fanum arrived at the airport to be met by the vibrant energy of the Nigerian people with joyful singing and drumming.

In a widely shared video, Cenat's friend Shank, who has been taking him around the vibrant city of Lagos, jokingly named him "Femi Omo Werey."

Cenat went out to try some of the delicious Nigerian foods as he was eager to experience the culture firsthand.

Shank introduced Cenat to the flavours of 'amala', 'gbegiri', and 'ewedu' at a traditional buka location, and he found himself enjoying the meal.

Cenat, having paid a visit to Makoko, was determined to immediately improve the destitute slums in the area. To that end, he gave $3000, which is equivalent to N4,840,500, to the Children's Development Foundation School and orphanage in Makoko, to help with its development and rehabilitation.

Cenat also had the honour of meeting Afrobeats superstar Davido, who made sure to show him some amazing time in the city of Lagos.

While having dinner, Davido shared some exciting news about his next album and assured Cenat that it would be even more spectacular when he returned to Lagos in December.

Their time spent together peaked when they drove Davido's Lamborghini through the streets of Lagos and went to an elite club on Lagos Island.

Kai Cenat launched his YouTube channel in 2018 and started posting videos of challenges and practical jokes.

He currently has 5.38 million subscribers on his YouTube channel and is rumoured to be earning about $3 million from Twitch and $1 million from YouTube.
