2. August 2023: Biola Ayeni ‘Tell All Interview”: In August 2023,Tunde Ayeni’s wife of over three decadesDr Biola Ayeni granted an exclusive ‘Tell All’ Interview to Thisday Newspapers titled ‘The Greatest Sacrifice I Have Made’. In the interview she defended her husband and described Adaobi as nothing but a desperate ‘Gold Digger’.

In her words. ‘“As per your question on how I reacted to the news of her claim, truth be told, the first thing I did when I heard the news was to check with God if truly He would fold His arms and let anyone destroy a home He used His hands to build and guard jealously for 31 years and He told me that her claim is untrue and I should disregard it. In the end, the truth will prevail. The young lady knows the father of her child. And when I checked with my husband, he told me the child is not his! God has spoken and my husband has also spoken, nothing else matters. So, I am not moved by naysayers or rumours about her claims. She knows the father of her child, she’s just a gold digger.”

3. February 2024, Letter To Nigerian Immigration Service: In February of 2024, Tunde Ayeni through his lawyers Dele Adesina LP wrote a letter to the Nigerian Immigration Service titled: WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT FOR USE OF THE FAMILY NAME 'AYENI' WITH RESPECT TO YOUR DAUGHTER OMAROSA, where it was established that Alagwu’s daughter isn’t entitled to the use of the Ayeni name on her travel document as he has no familial relationship with her.

February 2024. The Cease And Desist Letter: Ayeni and his legal team didn’t stop at the letter to the Nigerian Immigration Service, they followed up with a ‘Cease And Desist’ Letter to Adaobi Alagwu herself after she was official evicted from an office building that belonged to Ayeni. The disclaimer unequivocally stated that no member of the Ayeni family would ever communicate with Adaobi or her family, now or in the future. The declaration partly reads, "We also want to state here clearly that none of our family member is in any form of communication with the said Adaobi Alagwu or her family and we will never put ourselves in a position to compromise our stand and decision now or in the future".

6. September 2024, Tunde Ayeni Swears An Affidavit: Relentless in his efforts to prove his innocence; Ayeni swore an affidavit before an Abuja High Court on the 12th of September 2024, where he laid out the facts stating;
- That I am legally married to Mrs Abiola Ayeni and no other person.
- That I have not contracted any other legal or customary marriage to Ms. Adaobi Jennifer Alagwu or any other person for that matter.
- That Ms. Adaobi Jennifer Alagwu manipulated me into believing that I was the biological father of her born daughter named Omarosa Abimbola Ayeni.

February, 2025 – Court petition at Dawaki Customary Court: Ayeni initiated legal proceedings (Suit FCT/CC/CV/DKDK), seeking official court confirmation that Adaobi was never his wife and Omarosa is not his child. He produced his legal marriage certificate to his wife of over three decades Dr Biola Ayeni, underscoring his marital status  .

8. Throughout early 2025 – Repeated court absences by Adaobi: Premium Times, SaharaReporters and other credible media platforms chronicled Adaobi’s repeated failure to appear in court, contrasting sharply with Ayeni’s consistent presence; underscoring his commitment to disprove her claims

9. February, 2025 – Discrediting the DNA result: Ayeni on multiple occasions publicly condemned the DNA result provided by Adaobi, describing it as “compromised and unreliable.” He pointed out inconsistencies; altered release dates, unauthorized modifications, and lab denials that cast doubt on its authenticity.

10. March 2025, Victory In Court: On Tuesday March 11th, 2025, a customary court in Dawaki, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, ruled that Adaobi Alagwu cannot claim to be Ayeni’s wife nor her child be his. Ayeni’s legal team, led by Joseph Silas, subsequently released a statement firmly denying any marriage or paternity. They highlighted the court’s  ruling, confirming no marital or biological ties to Adaobi or her daughter Omarosa .

11. June 2025, Tunde Ayeni sues Adaobi Alagwu, mother to reclaim Abuja properties: Tunde Ayeni initiated a fresh legal battle, dragging Adaobi Alagwu and her mother before the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court to recover two high-end properties in the capital city that belong to him but which he claims they are “shamelessly still occupying.”

The suit, marked FCT/HC/CV/1282/2025, sought to repossess two properties located at DD38, Lakeview Estates, off Alex Ekwueme Way, Abuja, and No. 48, Mike Akhigbe Street, Jabi, Abuja; residences which Ayeni says were part of his past efforts to “help with accommodation” when he was trying to manage what he now describes as one of the darkest moments of his life.

12. June 2025, Tunde Ayeni Declared, ‘I Regret Meeting Adaobi And Her Family’: In a move to start repairing his already and consistently battered reputation, Tunde Ayeni began granting interviews to address the Adaobi saga. In his June interview, he thundered, ‘she and her mother are desperate individuals, and I regret ever having anything to do with her and her entire family. I don’t even want to remember that period of my life. It is completely blocked out of my memory’.

13. November 2025, Tunde Ayeni rejects Adaobi Alagwu’s out-of-court settlement offer: In a signed statement, Tunde Ayeni once again called out Adaobi and her sneaky ways saying, “I confirm that through back-door channels, Alagwu has indeed made overtures towards settling this matter outside the courtroom. This development, I must say, was unexpected given the significant public attention and embarrassment it has garnered, together with the reputational damages it has inflicted on me, my family, and my loved ones. Despite these attempts, I am resolute in my decision to reject any private offers for settlement”.

Over the last two years, Ayeni’s consistency, public statements, court appearances, affidavit, and legal filing has reinforced his stance with Adaobi even though she continues to cling on to illusions despite the legal clarity of the March 11th court ruling that legally confirmed no marriage or paternity link.

Steps like the Immigration cease-and-desist, affidavit and even the royal disclaimer reflect a thorough and calculated legal strategy to protect his name, family and legacy. While Ayeni clearly broke the sacred marital vows to his wife with a careless relationship with Adaobi that landed him in a media mess, he now seems to be on a path to start clearing his already battered name and reputation.
