Popular Nigerian singer Yemi Alade recently had a stage performance that provoked criticism on social media.

Videos of the Johnny crooner's performance went viral. She was one of the performers in the Night of Queens concert.

In the video, Yemi Alade got the crowd excited by running around and jumping on stage while sporting a red playsuit and matching red boots.

As she danced and sang on stage, the music icon's excitement was evident as she swayed her body to the drummer's beat. Still, a number of internet users weren't happy with what they saw.

The video quickly gained popularity on social media. Netizens responded to it with a range of differing opinions.

A handful of them applauded the singer for staying true to her natural form and being vivacious on stage, but most of them laughed at the video and disapproved of the singer's attire and dancing style.
