Afro Nation heads to Lagos – Davido hints on Hot 97

Davido has hinted that Afro Nation, one of Africa's biggest afro-beach festivals will be heading to Lagos this year.

The previous editions starting from the first in 2019 have been held in Ghana's capital, Accra.

Davido, who is currently on a media tour to promote his chart-breaking album Timeless revealed in an interview on Hot97 with Ebro that Afro Nation is moving to Lagos.

In an interview on Hot97 with Ebro, the Nigerian afrobeats star Davido revealed Afro Nation was heading to Lagos, Nigeria.

The revelation came out, during a discussion about the beach culture on the African continent and how it has grown in strength.

Officially the festival hasn’t announced the new city, but Davido’s comments confirm that the rumors are true.

Davido was set to headline Afro Nation Ghana until the demise of his son, which led him to go on a musical hiatus for some months.

Afro Nation has been held twice in Ghana; in 2019 & 2022, unfortunately, it couldn’t be held in 2020 & 2021 due to the Covid Pandemic.

It looks like this year Afro Nation will be making stops in Portugal, the United States of America, and Nigeria.
