Adesanya cost Drake $500K after defeat

Canadian rapper and singer Drake lost a massive $500K wager, which is equal to N375,550,000 after he backed Israel Adesanya to win the UFC 293 fight.

The award winning singer placed a bet on Adesanya, the Middleweight title holder to defeat Strickland by a knockout.

Drake has a history of placing significant bets on combat sports, such as the UFC, and because of his unfavorable gambling luck, he has grown a reputation for being "cursed".

The rapper expected $920,000, which is equivalent to N691,012,000 to be credited to his account but things didn't work out as he had hoped for.

Strickland received a knocked down from Adesanya in the opening frame before defusing Adesanya's explosive shots throughout the course of the following four frames which eventually cost Drake big time.

After the fight was given a 49-46 score in Strickland's favor by the three cage side judges, he was declared the new champion.
