Actor, Mustapha Solagbade, has said that actresses seem to have more money than their colleagues because they have better access to opportunities. The filmmaker told Sunday Scoop, “I really cannot say that they (actresses) have more money than their male counterparts because I am not their account manager. However, don’t forget that women will always be women; they have more access to a lot (of opportunities) than their male counterparts.”

Speaking on his recent trip to Mecca (Saudi Arabia), Solagbade said, “I went for umurah– also called little hajj. By God’s grace, I would go for Hajj after Ramadan. I went for this because of my birthday. I am so glad that I celebrated my birthday there on January 1. I have actually wanted to do that for a very long time. I thank God I was able to fulfill the wish this year.”

The Ife Mi actor maintained that being able to perform hajj was his most memorable experience. “There is no experience greater than coming to hajj to see the grave of the great prophet and the holy Kaaba. And not just me, millions of people come in everyday to give thanks to Allah and to request for more blessings. I felt so blessed being in the holy land for my birthday,” he said.

Solagbade also stated that though he has a lot of plans for the year, he preferred not reveal any of it. He said, “I have got so many plans. But I wouldn’t want to say anything about it now. One has to make moves first and let people see the outcome. I believe in actions, not noise. This year, I’m going to focus more on my career.”
