Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has accused activist Martins Vincent Otse a.k.a VeryDarkMan of being involved in the disappearance of N180 million from his NGO.
On December 27, VeryDarkMan announced on social media that N180 million had been stolen from his NGO's account after the website was hacked.
Prior to this revelation, he was seen driving a Mercedes Benz AMG worth millions of naira and boasting about his wealth in a video.
The announcement sparked concern among Nigerians, with some criticizing him for allegedly staging a public stunt and others awaiting further clarification from him.
In a video shared online, Portable criticized VeryDarkMan, calling him a "thief" and questioning his trustworthiness.
He said, "Dem don thief NGO money, dem don hack am. A friend of a thief is a thief. A friend of a rich man is not a rich man."
Portable also questioned VeryDarkMan's justice movement, asserting his own efforts in helping the community by distributing food, constructing roads, and installing street lights.
"You say you dey justice for Nigeria, na yourself you dey justice for. I dey share indomie, I dey do road, you dey hear, I dey do street light for my area." He added
Note that Nigerians donated to VeryDarkMan after he launched an NGO in October 2024, with music producer Don Jazzy donating N100 million.
