The Nigerian film industry is full of talented people who have continued to serve major entertainment for movie lovers and some of these stars have interesting family backgrounds.

It is no news that Nollywood is home to a lot of thespians from different parts of the country.

However, the door has never been shut to biracial talents and some of these stars are unarguably fan favourites.

1. Caroline Uduak Abasi Ekanem

Born to a Scottish father and a Nigerian mother in Maiduguri, the actress spent the better part of her life in Nigeria, obtaining a degree in environmental protection management, geography and regional planning at the University of Calabar.

Chico Ejiro, through Rita Dominic, introduced Danjuma to the Nigerian film industry in the 2004 film Deadly Care.



Adunni Ade

The gorgeous and talented actress was born in Queens, New York, United States to a German American mother and a Yoruba Nigerian father.

However, the ivory beauty grew up in Nigeria and the United States of America respectively.



Venita Akpofure

Venita was born in England to a mixed-race father and a Nigerian mum. She was raised in Edo state, Nigeria and had her primary education at the Our Lady of Apostles in Benin City, before returning to the United Kingdom.

Although she was earlier known for her role in AY's Crib, Venita shot into limelight after participating in the 2019 Big Brother Naija show.



Eku Edewor

Full name Georgina Chloe Eku Edewor-Thorley, the beautiful actress was born at Portland Hospital in London, along with her twin sister Kessiana to a Nigerian mum, Juliana Edewor, and a British father, Hugh Thorley.

Although she is into movies now, she is best known for her work as host of the entertainment television program 53 Extra.



Shan George

An indigene of Cross River state, the talented actress and filmmaker was born to a Nigerian mum and a British dad.

Prior to debuting in the movie Thorns of Rose, she had previously featured in a 1997 soap opera titled Winds of Destiny.



Ibinabo Fiberesima

Born to a Nigerian father and an Irish mother, Ibinabo made her debut as a film actress in the movie, Most Wanted, and has since gone on to star in several Nigerian films.



Sophie Alakija

The beautiful actress was born on February 8, 1985, into a family of Nigerian and Lebanese descent.

Best known as the video girl for Wizkid's Holla At Your Boy, Sophie has starred in several Nollywood movies.
