Popular Nigerian fashion designer Veekee James has stirred reactions online after sharing an emotional vlog documenting her childbirth journey and the arrival of her first child.
The fashion entrepreneur welcomed her baby girl, Eliana Adeife Atere, on May 2, 2026, at 7:12 p.m. after reportedly spending over 48 hours in labour before undergoing a Caesarean section.
In the intimate video posted on Instagram and YouTube, Veekee James detailed her pregnancy experience, labour process, and the support she received from her husband, Femi Atere.
The vlog also featured moments of prayers with Pastor Bolaji Idowu before delivery, alongside emotional scenes from the hospital.
At one point in the video, her husband jokingly referred to the pastor as the “latest grandpa,” sparking lighthearted reactions from fans.
The video quickly generated massive attention online, with many Nigerians praising mothers for the sacrifices involved in childbirth.
Actress Sharon Ooja reportedly reacted by saying the video deepened her appreciation for her own mother and women generally.
However, the vlog also triggered criticism from some social media users who felt the moments shared were too personal for the internet.
