Munachimso Brian Nwana, a 22-year-old content creator, has shattered the record for the most fast food places visited in 24 hours.
Guinness World Record (GWR) confirmed the record by sharing the accomplishment on social media and its website.
Breaking the previous record of 100 eateries visited by American YouTuber Airrack in 2023, Brian visited 150. Prior to it, the late Lynn "Lynja" Davis and Nick DiGiovanni, two popular personalities on TikTok, had owned the record.
While both of those record attempts happened in New York City, Brian's happened in Abuja.
Brian said, “New York has clusters of restaurants and adequate public transportation systems, so doing this in Abuja was much more daunting and challenging.”
Since there isn't much public transportation in Abuja, Brian had to walk the full distance in his quest to break this record. No private vehicles are also allowed.
According to the Guinness World Record, Brian covered a distance of more than 25km on foot, starting in the Gwarinpa residential area and ending in the city centre.
He set his start and end times at 5 p.m. and slept for nine hours between midnight and 9 a.m.
At least one meal or drink item must be purchased and consumed at each restaurant to break the record; also, at least 75 per cent of the orders must be for food.
Nigerian social media star @BrianNwana travelled 25 kilometres on foot whilst visiting 150 fast food restaurants in 24 hours, smashing the previous record by 50 👏
