Babadunni, the Personal Assistant to late Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has broken his silence to share the distressing circumstances surrounding the minister's sudden passing.
Recounting the tragic event, Babadunni revealed that the singer appeared completely healthy and energetic throughout the day before collapsing unexpectedly shortly after having a meal.
"It happened all of a sudden. He looked fine and active. Shortly after eating, he suddenly slumped and was unconscious," the PA shared.
Describing the harrowing search for emergency medical attention in Ibadan, Oyo State, Babadunni disclosed that their efforts were severely paralyzed by ongoing industrial action across government healthcare facilities, resulting in critical delays.
"We took him to several government hospitals in Ibadan. Some rejected him because doctors were on strike. We went to about 10 hospitals. By the time we got someone to attend to him, he had passed away," he revealed.
Confirming current arrangements following the tragedy, the PA added:
"His body has been deposited at the morgue while the family meets for funeral planning."
