As Seyi Tinubu, the son of the President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, celebrates his 40th birthday, the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) has unveiled a nationwide initiative to distribute one million copies of the Holy Bible across the country in his honour.
The project, according to the organisers, aims to promote moral rebirth, ethical leadership, and godly values among Nigerian youths. It was announced during a thanksgiving service held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, on Sunday, with similar services taking place in about 40 churches nationwide.
Speaking at the event, YOWICAN National Chairman, Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, explained that the gesture was not about celebrating an individual but about sowing a seed of moral transformation in Nigeria’s next generation.
“The one million Bible project is not a birthday gift to Seyi Tinubu; it is a spiritual investment in our nation’s future. Through the Word of God, we want to restore integrity, compassion, and a sense of purpose among our youths,” Enwere stated.
Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, led prayers during the thanksgiving service and described the initiative as a timely move to address the moral decay affecting today’s society. He commended YOWICAN for using the occasion to encourage faith-based leadership and discipline among the youth.
In a message conveyed on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed deep gratitude to the organisers, noting that faith, education, and moral integrity are vital tools for building a united and prosperous Nigeria.
Distribution of the first batch of Bibles is expected to begin in the coming weeks through churches, schools, and youth ministries across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The initiative, which blends faith with youth empowerment, has been widely praised by religious leaders and social commentators as a symbolic act of hope, reflecting the growing call for spiritual renewal and value-driven leadership in Nigeria.
