Gloria Taye Bright, the lady sold into slavery has narrated her ordeal while she was trafficked to Lebanon to teach English.

The 33 year old, while giving details of her experience stated that no jobs exist abroad.

Bright like Omolola Ajayi, was promised employment as an English teacher in Lebanon on a monthly salary of $1,000. However she was converted to a house help in Lebanon where she was forced to serve her master and perform menial jobs.

She said, “There is no job in Lebanon and there is no Dollar in that country but they tricked us to the place and made us to believe that there is work there.”

She sounded a note of warning to Nigerian women to be cautious of any lies used to entice them by travel agents to work abroad.

Bright was finally handed over to her parents by the Kwara state Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps today in Ilorin.

According to the commandant of NSCDC, Commander Bello Ale, he stated that she was handed over to President of Eruku Progressive Union, Mr Shola Daniels, reported by The Nation.

Ale bestowed all the praises for the successful repatriation of Bright and other illegally trafficked ladies to the Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission and an NGO, Phemnick Life Support.

Ale revealed 27 Nigerian women illegally traveled to Lebanon on the same promises of greener pastures. They praised the videos of Bright which led to the discovery of the women and arrest of the three suspects connected with maltreating them.

The three suspects arrested included a Lebanese Wasit Muhammad; 63 years, Adetunji Sanusi, 33 years, and a lawyer; Tunde Awwal, 27 years while the NSCDC was still searching for another member of the gang identified as Joseph who was presently at large.
