Reno Omokri accuses WHO president of subservience to China

Reno Omokri Reno Omokri

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has expressed worries over the silence of WHO president, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, on the treatment meted out to Africans in China.

Over the past weeks, China has been accused of racial abuse of Africans who say they have been forcefully evicted from hotel rooms they paid for.

Videos also trended on social media showing some Africans getting harassed by Chinese authorities in the streets.

In reaction, Reno Omokri accused Tedros of subservience to President Xi Jinping of China.

He wrote: "?I am a strong pan Africanist, but, the body language between @DrTedros of the @WHO, and Chinese Premier Xi Jinping, shows SUBSERVIENCE!

"I expected Tedros to have spoken against China’s racist treatment of Africans during this #COVID19 pandemic.

"The forceful evictions from apartments and hotel rooms they had paid for, the refusal to sell food and medicines to them (which was caught on camera), the use of their police to enforce this discrimination (also caught on camera). I was so disappointed!".
