Pope decorates Governor Willie Obiano with Knighthood

Pope Francis has honored Governor Willie Obiano with the title of Knight Commander of the Pontifical Order of St. Gregry the Great (KCSG).

The title was conferred on Obiano at a ceremony which took place on January 15 at the Vatican in Rome, Italy.

The Knight Commander of the Pontifical Order of St. Gregry the Great is a title bestowed on Catholic men and women.

The title, which is one of the five Orders of Knighthood of the Holy See, is bestowed on recipients for their strides towards the course of the Holy See and Catholic Church.

Present to witness the Pope confer the title on Obiano are his wife, children, family and party members.
