The Kaduna chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has stated that the name of the Living Faith Church bomber is Mohammed Sani, not Nathaniel Samuel.

According to CAN chairman, Kaduna chapter, Rev. Joseph John Hayab, the suspect gave his name as Mohammed Sani when the Church security officials arrested him.

He also marveled at how the suspect's name changed to Nathaniel Samuel after he was handed over to the Kaduna State Police Command.

MyNigeria reported that former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode stated that the attempted bombing of a branch of Living Faith Church in Kaduna was carried out by a Hausa Fulani Muslim, not a Christian as reported.

Contrary to Police PRO, DSP Yakubu Sabo, who identified the suspect as Nathaniel Samuel, a Christian from Bauchi State, Femi Fani-Kayode stated that the suspects's name is Mohammed Nasiru Sani, a Muslim.

He said he was told by a Kaduna-based Pastor Azzaman that “The Kaduna bomb planter Mohammed Sani confessed to being forced in detention to bear Nathaniel Tanko in custody.

“He confirmed he is a Muslim & Fulani. He also claims an influential Muslim contracted him to bomb Living Faith Church Kaduna”.

On his part, Fani-Kayode wrote: “If anyone really believes that the individual that attempted to plant a bomb in Winners Chapel, Kaduna is a Christian and that his real name is Nathaniel Tanko they need to have their heads examined. He is actually a Hausa Fulani Muslim and his real name is Mohammed Nasiru Sani.”
