Evacuees from India to be tested for COVID-19 again - NiDCOM

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, has said that evacuees from India will be tested against for COVID-19 as soon as they arrive.

The NiDCOM had earlier revealed that the evacuees numbering about 276 were already tested for COVID-19 with the results all negative.

"Based on the new Protocol announced by the PTF, flight with evacuees from India on board Air Peace expected later this evening in Abuja. All onboard ( about 276)tested and negative. Been tough and rough for them but glad are finally on their way home", she tweeted.

She later revealed that "They will still be tested on arrival, the latest within 72 hours. All stated in the new PTF protocol which is quite detailed".
