The sum of N20 million, 50,000 face masks and an ambulance have been donated to the Lagos State Government for the fight against COVID-19 by Chief Diana Chen, an international promoter of GAC Motors, GREE and Lontor brands in Nigeria.

Expressing solidarity with the Nigerian people currently battling against the virus, she said, “Now more than ever we all need to show serious concern and commitment to eliminating the threat of this virus so that we can return to our daily lives before the outbreak.”

She also called on the private sector in Nigeria to join in the fight against COVID-19 which she says can't be defeated by government alone.

“Her voice has been crucial in rallying the Chinese business community in the country to also support the government’s efforts in this pandemic. These efforts in helping the government fight the damaging pandemic has not only shown her deep community interest in Lagos state, but it also goes a long way to impact ordinary Nigerians for whom aid might have been otherwise out of reach,” a statement added.

Chen joins the list of Nigerians who have donated to the fight against the virus which is fast increasing in number of cases in the country.

Some of those in the Private Sector Coalition Against COVID-19 includes Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Abdulsamad Rabiu, Tony Elumelu, Herbert Wigwe, Segun Agbaje, Jim Ovia etc.
