Two Tiv farmers in Nasarawa have been shot dead by gunmen believed to be Fulani herders in the Keana Local Government Area of the state.

Punch gathered that the lifeless bodies of the two men were discovered with bullet wounds and machete cuts by a search party after they failed to return home on Wednesday.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Nasarawa state command, ASP Ramhan Nansel, who confirmed the incident on Thursday, added that combined security teams had been drafted to Kadarko and its environs “to avert any reprisal.”

A source, who didn’t want his name mentioned, alleged that the victims were invaded by some people believed to be Fulani herders in Icenyam village of Kadarko Chiefdom.
